Fertilizer, transportation, diesel fuel, gas, food - are all increasing at historic rates. Until a more conservative government is put into place in the U.S., the chances of that reversing course is unlikely.
Having a focus on "green" - i.e. reducing the world's energy consumption and changing fossil fuel consumption to wind and solar, et al - is not the right focus at this time in the world's economy.
Right now: spend less (if possible), save if possible, and vote for legislators that will help the United States move in the right direction.
