This meal was inspired by Alfred Portale and his recipe from the Gotham Bar & Grill Cookbook. Let me know what you think.
The ingredients are: 1. Persian Cucumber
2. Half a Japanese Cucumber
3. 8-10 Marinated Olives
4. One fresh Avocado
5. about six or eight San Marzano tomatoes
6. Toasted Bread/ Croutons more to taste
7. Italian Jar salad dressing to taste ( he used a different dressing)
8. Lemon juice about two table spoons.
9. about 1lbs of fresh sashimi grade tuna
10. Fresh Basel leaves shredded to taste.
11. Extra Virgin Olive oil infused with Black Truffles.
The secret is all the ingredients need to be fresh. Mix the seasoning together with the chopped tuna. It helps having a tool like mine to keep the tuna together. Remove it before serving. See first photo and you will understand.
If there are left overs since it is a very rich meal I have another recipe coming what to do with it.
