The Revolving Door. . .

The Revolving Door of

Random Thinking

I don’t know how it “works” for you.  Heck, I am unsure how it is processed each time it happens in my own brain but that’s a thought for another time.

It’s Friday.  And like any day of the week (I imagine) it’s good to find the fine print.

Maybe even a fabulous idea although that’s a word I don’t find myself using frequently.  Maybe a flight of fancy. But I digress.  Finding things of all sorts can certainly be good.

Facts, fables and fantasies seem to flood the streams of my consciousness. Maybe it's simply a field of dreams. And with that, I wonder about unintended consequences. Looking at options, alternatives or maybe the other side of the coin.  A flip. Or a flicker. Maybe even a flub.

Perhaps it's time to find an appropriate quote or other words of inspiration. But quite frankly, maybe it's better if you just fill-in-those-blanks yourself. Happy Friday.

It used to be that playing connect the dots left a picture of a giraffe or a horse, now those connecting the dots as adults have much darker pictures formed.  Hey, why's that guy putting propane tanks on his property?  Must be because he knows that the power grid is about to go down any day now!!  smh and trying to avoid the madness.

Hello Michael Jacobs sometimes I feel life is like revolving door to fill the blank. Happy Friday to you too.

Hi Michael,

When I go on a walk, I generally will have a few random thoughts.  There will be a sound or a visual of some sort that will strike a memory or a thought.  So I get it. To me, it is part of the meditation experience as I walk or hike in the neighborhood. Happy Friday!

Michael, the revolving door brings up some memories, which now will need to ponder.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, Phoenix Broker - maybe there's a kiss-off of sorts that is part of the scenario.

Aura Alex - thank you for reminding me of that quote.  It's a good one to remember.

Bill Liz and Bill Spear - conclusions and results of all kinds can have relevance.  Maybe even that town in New Mexico:  Truth or Consequences.  After all, life is more than a game show even when a Zonk seems to be a part of it from time.  Forgive the misplaced reference.

John Pusa - thank you for the visit and the comment.  I appreciate it.  Happy Weekend.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - even when it's a direct path filled with focus, randomness in thought (and sometimes in course) play a role.  I guess there is a reason (for me) that wandering and wondering plus pondering seem connected.

Endre Barath, Jr. - there is something about life lived in oblivion.  I am not sure I can describe it (or want to expand my thoughts there).  It is true that the less said may be better.  Hmmm. . .

Brian England - I wonder if three-toed sloth-like ponderings can make a mind a bit less idle.

Joan Cox - although I couldn't find a revolving door in my image archives, I do have some memories of them too.

Love and enjoyed your blog post Michael Jacobs! I could say so much but you said it best and I'll leave it at that. Today's world feels like revolving doors and going in circles. You captured the mood many are experiencing succinctly! We really are living in an unbalanced world.

Brian England - thank you for that clarification. Sorry I didn't see your comment before today.  Happy Monday.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - although I can understand how the world can feel a bit unbalanced at times, I am reminded that it was once commonly thought that our planet was flat.  Go too far and you would fall and talk like that.  We have "far" to go but also have traveled a great distance.

Hi Michael Jacobs , I wish I could say Happy Friday but my calendar shows that would be wishful thinking. I am about to leave to show homes to buyers who already saw 49 homes and six submitted offers. Let's see what today will bring.

I read somewhere once that the ability to daydream, to zone out, is a GOOD thing.  My step father didn't think so, and often performed an abrupt technique to "bring me back to reality".  I count myself lucky that he didn't affect my permanent talent for "alternative thinking within my mind".  I like those AHA moments.  Interesting direction your blog posting took me today.

Beth Atalay - maybe I should wish you a Happy Friday on a Monday.  It seems as if what's up is down for many.  I wish you (and your buyers) continued patience and good luck in your ongoing search.  It's never easy to be a buyer (or even a seller) in any market.  Thank you for the highlight in the BananaTude group.

Roy Kelley - I hope your Monday marks the start of another good week.

Cara Marcelle Mancuso - I also believe that there can be a power in dreaming - during the daytime and whenever possible.  I do understand that being grounded is important.  This reminds me (once again) a quote attributed to Socrates.  "All things in moderation including moderation".

My mind does not appear to rest...that door is spinning full time. Sometimes that is good, but for the most part it just makes me dizzy.

There's a Maine expression ... it's hard tellin' not knowin' . Processing thoughts and putting in the clutch, turning off the motor to roll down the next hill of life under your own momentum. It is like control, alternate, delete. Remember Michael Jacobs wherever you go, there you are cause that's where it is at. Stay in the moment and be like Dr Seuss in the riddle of life's mysteries.

Roy Kelley - I hope your summer days are starting off swimmingly even if you are staying away from the water.

Sharon Tara - of all the words I might think of to describe you, "dizzy" wouldn't likely reach the top 100.  However, since your comment included the word, I think it has now moved up a notch or two.

Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 - thank you for some Maine thoughts.  They are definitely words to remember.  But a not-so-subtle reminder from time to time is also quite helpful.  😃
