Now there's a "Sink in the pink!"
What say you? Remodel it or restore it?
Please comment and let me know if I have found the "pinkest" bath you have ever seen!

That pink is way over the top! I'd have to see the rest of the house to determine if it's restore or remodel. A lot depends on the character of the whole house.

Hi Michael! I loved the house, was in original 1960's condition, had lots of other fun details in addition to an excess of pink. Personally, I would leave it intact, as the character of the rest of the house was awesome.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Growing up we had a pink and gray kitchen with pink appliances...I say restore, any one can do stainless appliances or white plumbing fixtures. Only special people appreciate the pink bathroom or kitchen.

I might be one of those special people! Rarely see a trio of older pink fixtures which are not broken or super grimy. This house was a fun candidate for restoration, I say.

Hey it is better than a lime green bathroom. Girls might say yes and her brother may say no. The linoleum floor has got to go though. Jeff

Hi Jeff!
If I see a lime green bath, I will take a photo and post it for you immediately! LOL on the linoleum floor! :) A fine comment!

The answer is that I was quite taken by the pink bath! BTW, I saw a nice robin's egg blue bathtub the other day on realtor tour, which rocked my world :)
Who knows when today's sedate, neutral earth tones will be replaced by new & exciting modern fixtures in bold, primary colors? (giggle)

Hello Barbara - first, it's nice to "see" you as I take a look at the ActiveRain blog roll. I hope all is well with you and with life in Oregon.
Second, as for "thinking all things pink" your post reminds me of a similarly hued bathroom I wrote about many years ago. Although, it may not be my "primary" color choice, I can appreciate the room which makes me wonder about the rest of the house.
Restore versus remodel is a dilemma facing many property owners. I can understand the reasoning for each situation. Does Judge Judy make the decision or one of the many design experts from the world of the reality television decorating world? Third, I guess - I digress. . .

Barbara - I am glad to read things are going swimmingly along the coast. Stay well and happy too.
Hi Michael! It is good to be in the pink again, I remember your post from ages ago!
Glad to report we have been very busy here on the Oregon coast, was nice to write a blog post along with the offers, for a change! FYI - We still have a shortage of homes in the mid and lower price ranges, with great demand for move in condition.
LOL when I read your comment, Of course Judge Judy makes the decision, indeed! I can see it now, Miami Vice colors, pink and teal, will be next years remodel!
Have a pleasant holiday (selling!) weekend ahead!
Barbara, I have seen quite a few retro bathrooms lately, thinking they are coming back.

Hi Joan, I have seen many retro bathrooms as well, love when they have the 70's cedar plank paneling, with high beamed ceilings, sparkle gold shell shaped "his and hers" sinks, brass fixtures and a woodsy cabin look. I will search through my photos for an example to share :)
