Wordless Wednesdays: Tunisian Couscous with Shrimp...

Hi Endre - Phyllis and I have been doing Keto and that looks like the perfect dish.  I have made all kinds of shrimp.

Good morning, Endre... middle eastern food is not usually at the top of my list... but I do like shrimp and couscous, so this is something I'd definitely want to taste.

This looks delicious Endre Barath, Jr. It has been a while since I've had shrimp... I'll have to ask Carol about that.

Your dishes always have a nice presentation to them, I can tell you take a lot of pride in your cooking.

Looks like the larger Israeli couscous, do love couscous of any variety, and shrimp is always something that goes down well. My stomach would feel happy eating that delicious looking plate of food.

My wife happens to originally from Port Said, Egypt in 1956, and when the Suez Crisis occurred she, her 2 sisters and mom took a trooper boat over to France and ended up in Paris, while her dad was thrown in Jail for 6 months.  He got out and by accident took a plane to France and someone who knew him and saw him get off the plane told him where his family was and how ironic is that situation?

Anyway, she has made couscous for the 52 years that I have known 

her (married 46+ yrs), but the shrimp is an issue; as she had shrimp 35+ years ago and unfortunately had a reaction and ended up with Bell's Palsy, but I firmly believe she got it from the excessive cold from the ice pack that she placed on the swelling on her left side of her face and not from the shrimp, as we agree to disagree today as to what effect the shrimp or the ice pack had on her 3 week condition Bells Palsy condition, that sometimes affects individuals for even much longer periods of time. Anyone else ever had  that issue?

Hi Endre- I love Couscous!  Larry makes it often for us from a recipe he got from Cook's Illustrated. 

Endre Barath, Jr. - Since I never tasted Couscous and I don't eat any type of seafood, it still looks like an attractive dish to serve and enjoy. May you never lose your tastebuds and always have good and healthy meals. 

Larry does like shrimp at a main meal. Your quite the chef Endre and always enjoy the photos you include!
