Good morning, Wayne Martin it is even more of a tragedy that the government can't even manage our tax dollars properly to assist the citizens here. It is a shame that our tax dollars go into the politician's pockets or agendas rather than the needs of the country.

I know this is a valuable service, Brian. My family received no refugee assistance back in the early 1950's when we landed in the USA, but that was not something anyone expected back then.

I am not sure what your situation was Nina Hollander, Broker but it seems like sometimes people fleeing a dangerous situation don't really have a choice as to where they end up.

Brian England hi Brian... we didn't have a choice either. The "next" military troop transport ship out of Germany was to the USA and New York City. Back then, refugees actually signed a document saying they would not ask the government for any public assistance for five years.

Brian hopefully the refugees receiving assistance came into the US legally. I know everyone needs help, but I don't think we are doing we are doing anyone any favors by giving them false hope, and constantly at risk of being deported. Like Nina my parents came to the US legally, and received no government help except for making it possible for us to legally enter the US. Being rewarded for breaking the law, is something I have a very hard time justifying.

Yes, I believe everyone should come into the country legally George Souto and we have somewhat of a problem with that in Arizona. There seem to be a lot of people allowed to live here illegally. I believe that if they are going to live here and receive benefits they should at least be working towards becoming a citizen.
