I was browsing posts early Monday morning and came across the name, Dan Dee The Pumpkin Man. Well, THAT caught my attention. I had to go see what he had to share.
He's a Rainmaker, been in real estate for 4 decades, and has written two books. Looking at his blog offerings, he had interesting titles such as "It is All about your Thoughts and You Controlling Your Thoughts" or "Changing Your Negativity on the Cost of Gasoline" or, "What is Exciting about Life...When we Learn we are Wrong".
I read all three but kept thinking about the Cost of Gasoline and the vitriol on Facebook regarding it. Thoughts just swirled around in my subconscious all day and I finally decided to sit down and write about it.
Because in America -- most of us have it really great. We have careers we love, (or can make choices to find a new career). We have homes, loved ones, the freedom of speech, travel, and a gamut of others. We have Fair Housing, USDA, FSIS, Code of Ethics, Our Constitution and amendments, Health and Human Services, CDC and more.
Nothing's perfect, but it never is.
So back to those titles and today's World and USA news.
We have choice. We can pay $5 for a latte, we can go out to dinner at McDonalds or a Steak and Lobster joint. We can have our nails done, our eyebrows plucked or our skin waxed. We can hire services for just about every need and want. What do you choose to spend your money on?
So yes, there's inflation out there right now. Over history, it tends to go up and down. Remember our history of gas lines, food rationing during the war, or the Great Depression.
I'm with the pumpkin man when he states we need to "change our negativity". Good advice. "Controlling your thoughts" -- more good advice.
To take one last quote from the Pumpkin Man's recent posts, "Sometimes we have to step back, be quiet, and let things work their way out of a situation we may be experiencing that is displeasing, unfortunate, or just painful."
Together, let's change the narrative.
And @Dan Dee McGinnis The Pumpkin Man - Thanks for the inspiration.
