I'm a professional juggler.
No balls, bowling pins or chainsaws or any other flaming objects up in the air with me, but I'm juggling just the same.
What I'm juggling is determining highest and best use of my time throughout the day and week.
I wear a variety of hats. Husband. Engineer. Real estate agent. Co-caretaker of a passel of cats and dogs. Beekeeper. Volunteer. Shell answer man thanks to blog posts being found.
Most days there will be more on my To Do list than can be on my DONE list at the end of the day. So what's High priority, what's Higher priority and what's Highest priority? The answer to that question drives my day.
Time sensitivity and the consequences of not doing something drive my decisions, and rearrangements of priority on the fly are not uncommon (oh, a house that matches one of my buyers just came on the market??).
When it comes to my activity in the Rain, that priority list is fairly stable.
Highest and best use of my time typically works out as follows:
1. Producing a post that can help our business (patio homes, subdivisions, long tail searches, etc.)
2. Producing a non-business related post (e.g. Ask An Ambassador posts on Tuesdays).
3. Responding to comments on our own posts
4. Reading other blogger's posts.
6. Q&A activity.
My list is ranked from most likely to generate business to most unlikely. Depending on your desired purpose for your time in the Rain, your priority list may be completely different than mine, maybe even a direct opposite with social activities working better for you than pure business activities.
That's the beauty of this place, we each can discover what works best for us, then do it.
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help,
Bill & Liz
