City of Gaithersburg 4th of July Closures & Recycling

City offices and most facilities will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The collection of recycled materials for residents whose regular recycling day is Monday, July 4, will take place on the PRECEDING Saturday, July 2. On-demand bulk pick up for residents whose regular recycling day is Monday, July 4 will be unavailable. This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

Most City facilities & offices are closed on July 4, 2022, in observance of Independence Day, with the exception of the following:

• Police Department Administrative Offices is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• The Miniature Golf Course is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• The Water Park is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for City Residents & Aquatic Members only.
• The free interactive water feature at Olde Towne Plaza & the Community Museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Recycling will be collected the preceding Saturday, July 2, 2022. Bulk pick up is unavailable.

Note that the Mayor & City Council Regular Session will take place on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
