Denver has been in a drought once again, and fire danger is high. A few cities in and around the Denver metro area have canceled firework shows. Last year sparked several fires after displays.
Being innovative, Parker has come up with a new idea -- and will present a drone light show. In lieu of fireworks, this year's celebration will provide a 150-drone light show. The 12-minute aerial display will start at 9:30 pm and feature multiple designs and choreographed movements from a fleet of drones set to patriotic music. Drones will fly 400 feet into the air above Salisbury Park and be visible from up to two miles away, depending on the vantage point.
Pack your blankets and lawn chairs and set up for an evening packed with family fun. Salisbury Park will be open to attendees to enjoy a free concert of 80's hits from 6 Million Dollar Band, and a carnival. Low-cost activities include a tot train, face painting, bungee jumping, and light-up toy vendors plus many food vendors.
Although this is a free event to attend, there is an onsite parking fee of $10/vehicle that will be collected at park entry, cash only. Parking is first-come, first-served and is expected to fill to capacity. Gates open at 5:30 pm.
**Not Allowed: We respectfully request you leave all pets at home. No tents, canopies, sport umbrellas (or other shade structures that are not hand-held), yard games, on-site cooking, alcohol, drones or fireworks are allowed in the parking lots or event and ball fields.
Enjoy your 4th of July celebrations, and please safe.
