Whatever you do, let it be for the good. If you participate in Independence Day festivities be thoughtful and kind. Should you be lucky enough to celebrate with loved ones, family, and friends with good food and the sky lit up with fireworks, be thankful. No matter how you spend your day, be proud to be an American and may you never forget what it is like to breathe freely. God bless America, my country that I love.

I also  like to read unedited, original, and truthful books. In honor of this National Holiday, something good to read is "Common Sense," the concise 1776 masterpiece penned by Thomas Paine.

Kat Palmiotti - I enjoyed my day off with relaxation. I really wanted to go to the Flower Mound festivities but knew I wouldn't be able to walk the distance, wait for buses to pick up, load, and deliver. I was mindful and could hear it, and that was good enough for me.
