WORLD CHOCOLATE DAY: JULY 7TH
"CHOCOLATE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND!"
"Everywhere in the world there are tensions – economic, political, religious. So we need chocolate."
July 7th, is World Chocolate Day! It's one of my personal favorite days of the year! Of course, as far as I'm concerned EVERY DAY of the year should be Chocolate Day, if not a full national holiday! After all, isn't chocolate one of the primary food groups? And if it isn't, it sure should be!
"There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles."
"As long as there is chocolate, there is happiness."
Lately, we've been hearing that dark chocolate is actually a "super food " with tons of health benefits. If these health benefits don't give you an excuse to eat some chocolate today and every day, I don't know what will.
"The 12-step chocolate program: NEVER BE MORE THAN 12 STEPS AWAY FROM CHOCOLATE!"
By the way, if you haven't yet discovered Lilly's chocolate, which is sugar free, you should check it out--totally sinful and you'd never know you are missing out on the sugar! Pleasure without the guilt! You can order Lilly's chocolate on-line, but if you live in the Charlotte metro area, Whole Foods, Target, and Harris Teeter stores carry it.
"I could give up chocolate but I’m not a quitter."
I recently came across a great article on 21 Healthier Ways To Eat Chocolate. Once again, pleasure with out the guilt!
"Chocolate is happiness that you can eat."
Remember those Got Milk? and Eat More Chickin! ads? Personally, I can pass on the milk and chicken. Instead, my mantra would be: Got Chocolate! and Eat More Chocolate!
So go ahead... eat more chocolate on World Chocolate Day.
