Southern Utah Adventure List: Veyo Pool & Crawdad Canyon
Some friends were planning a trip to southern Utah from Las Vegas, Nevada to vacation with their daughter and three grandkids. They asked me for places of interest that were geared toward the younger set.
Remembering when our two boys were growing up, they enjoyed the Veyo Pool and Crawdad Canyon. What is more fun than playing in a spring-fed swimming hole and hunting for crawdads along the river bank?
There is also a campground, a grill and over 200 routes in the canyon for climbers to enjoy. It's a great way to unplug the kids from the digital world and get them out in the fresh air and exploring the great outdoors!
It's typically 12-15 degrees cooler in Crawdad Canyon than St. George, Utah during the summer months in the canyon. Lodging is also available, whether wishing to camp, pull in an RV or stay in a historic home.
