Fayetteville Georgia is located about 22 miles South of Atlanta with a population of just under 20,000 and is the county seat for Fayette County. It's located just to the East, Northeast of Peachtree City, also located in Fayette County population of approximately 110,000, which is the County just to the East of Coweta county. There are 6 golf courses in Fayette County and a number of housing developments along with nature areas, shopping, restaurants and lots to do.
In terms of the housing market in Fayettville, there is currently (as of July 15, 2022) around 80 (around 130 listings including homes on acreage of above an acre) active single family homes for sale on an acre or less within the city limits. Medium home price is around $515,000.00 and that's up from about $385,000 a year ago. Average days on market is just shy of two weeks. Even with increasing prices and higher interest rates homes continue to sell relatively quickly. Looking at absorption rates and current inventory, we have about 1.7 months of inventory and that's up by almost three weeks over the same time period a year ago.
It's important to note that home prices and styles can vary considerably in the area. Near the Movie studios home prices are sharply higher. County wide, if you are interested in buying or selling in some of the golf course communities prices will be considerably higher. For starter homes or prices in the lower price points there are some great values to be had here in the Fayetteville area and demand continues to be robust for move in ready, fair market priced properties.
