The expression "game-changer" is no myth but an accurate two-word summation of powerful dynamics at work or in the plans. It demands respect and behind it usually is lots of time, money and innovation that society is due or overdue. The smart phone, laptop, Internet, fax, email send/receive, web site and texting is NOW our office of the future. Resistance is futile. Adaptability & assimilation mandatory!



Technology and intelligence are now a part of our existence. ONLINE is now a reality, a testing ground, meeting place, information center and much more. As I write and share, incredible changes are being formed, prepared & will visit with us now & soon, non-stop, for the next few decades. Released a little at a time so we may adapt and accept the changes


Long before we actually meet in person, we have made meaningful contact. Our selves have been revealed online via the Internet, web sites, marketing, ads, word of mouth and via our own living testimony i.e., we demonstrate who and what we are and do as we live it out making our own results proof of the messages sent


I will make this statement to make the point. Cars back in the 30 & 40's and even 50's were sold annually at car shows, warehouses, grandstands and conventions where the product was displayed, questions answered, and orders were taken. Who followed that? Large department stores. The premise? Why visit several separate shopping places when instead, I put it all under one roof. One stop shop was birthed but not perfected as it is ongoing


The ongoing development of one stop shopping is still amazing us. Groceries, medical check-ups, banking, car repair, prescriptions, even fast food is now brought to us & us to them. Big box retailers have made the game changing point!


Dentists, attorneys, CPA's, hair stylists, services and select products can be offered from a person's place of residence. The person buys the house or site, pays a mortgage rent to themselves and invites the public to visit. They now have modern condo/townhome sites mixed with retail and food plus dry cleaning etc. making it a little community. These concepts are still developing


A college degree is only as good as the person who puts it to work. So it is with all this technology too. As long as you answer your phone, text, email etc. timely, your office is open for business. It is as simple as that. Not available? Kiss of death here!


How can you not be? You are available for social media, personal business, family and friends already via the smart phone. Now, if I call someone's phone wanting a service or product and it is them sitting at home or out shopping that answer their phone with a company statement (Bobs electrical how I can I help you), you wouldn't know if they are in an office, work yard, Hawaii or their garage. Nor would you care. You called, they answered! Let's do business! 


Where this may fail is where YOU fail to answer when contacted. Brick & mortar posts hours consistently. The public plans accordingly. It is not any different using our new technology. One must be available for this to work effectively & efficiently.


Follow brick & mortar procedures without the brick & mortar. They were available and now you must be with NO EXCUSES. What then? Your business will grow and sustain. Let me also point out how useful a tool you can wield to assist you here


Who you are, what you do, how you do it and even why can all be presented in a colorful and personal way via your own web site. Consider the site a living business card (more later on this) of a sort. The caller either visited the site first or YOU can direct them there for more detailed information. What a virtual assistant that is!

BUSINESS CARDS (leave behinds)

Get it together here. No fluff, hard or soft sell but instead, easy to read contact info and what you do. This is where a decent tagline comes in. You hand these out liberally. It's another effective support tool. Why not Pens, calendars or doo-dads?


DON'T make this complicated. Stop that! C'mon now. The hardest part of all this? Can you do what you are promising or representing to do? If so, get to it and bring yourself current on how to interact in today's technological business world

Hey Richie I'm so glad Carol Williams featured this interesting post of yours!  You got me thinking way back to my growing up days and remembering how exciting it was as a kid when the one and only mall in town was developed! So much fun to be had in one place! And since then it's been a constant evolving into different spaces online and in person. Our 'old mall' has been town down and a 'new version' is being built with opening projected in 2024.  It's going to have everything one could need, housing, stores, restaurants, offices etc etc. Pretty cool. Change is the constant in our lives and it's a living breathing organism - and personally I find it all so enjoyable!
