One of the most"popular" Senior Moments is forgetting where you left your keys.

For those of us that have a lot of keys, and what RE professional doesn't, the "where did I put my keys" Senior Moment can be quite a problem.

About a month ago I had that moment with my main set of keys... car, home, office, vehicle fob, and more. Due to circumstances, that is being home with the car in the driveway, I was pretty sure they were somewhere on the premises. Still, I retraced my steps several times and asked the shop keepers (thrift stores) If they found any keys laying around. Of course they didn't have mine BUT much to my surprise they had a lot of sets of keys and key fobs in their lost and found drawers.

Long story short... they were right where I left them, in a coat pocket that I seldom wear.

I do ask that question often enough that as far back as 10 years ago Tina (my daughter) gave me one of those Find My Key electronic gadgets. It was pretty cool but it died on the 91st day of ownership (90 day warranty of course).

I alleviated this problem when I bought an apple AirTag and now I can usually find my keys if I can find my iPhone 🙂

Thanks for the LOL Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS . I don't know what apple AirTag is but I'm going to see if Android has a similar app I can use.

Hi Bob and Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS Robert Siciliano recently wrote a post  you might want to read.   Larry's keys and wallet are always falling out of the pocket of his shorts so the first place we look is in the car!

I think the floor of my car was the first place I looked Kathy Streib and then of course it's off to check the bathroom floor. I'll go check your link now.

Had a good laugh about your post and the keys, sadly I get it about the 91 day expiration.... ironically most of the things I have issues with is not the keys but Flash Lights and I have old school with battery.... as well as fancy shmancy with electric chargers... needless to say both died recently... need it for my late night walk with Holly... on a side note loved the Military Garb:)Endre

I recently lost my car key, which I was embarrassed to say because I was out looking at property and somewhere along my walk the key dropped out of my pocket. I hunted for quite a while and couldn't find it (and I hadn't walked far) so I had to call my son to bring me my spare and then I had to buy a new key. Geez.

Those 'senior moments' seem to take place more often as we age.

Have a great day and an outstanding weekend.

I rarely even use a key these days since I don't need one for my car or my house, haha.

Good morning, Bob... fortunately no senior moments for me of this type. My keys are always attached to the inside of my handbag and I never go out without my handbag.

I am glad I added a little humor to your day Endre Barath, Jr.  I too still have several old style flashlights, they have always been a pain. Even those in that kind of a transition period where the LED's were not to bright. I have a whole "another" story on warranties and Target. Glad you like my jacket... it doesn't really say "World Leader" on it. 😄

That would be an adventure none of us would want Kat Palmiotti . It reminded me of one I think I will blog about later today 😂.

The worst thing about this one Roy Kelley is I kept replaying it over in my head and kept coming up with vivid images of exactly what happened... but didn't. 😍

A car key & fob  can be spendy to replace but I had no choice. I don't know when key-less cars came out but my newest car is a 2010 and it doesn't have that feature. I did just install a key-less deadbolt on the house so I am making progress Brian England

I don't even carry keys with me, the key to my car is my phone or a card in my wallet, haha.

Good morning Nina Hollander, Broker , my LOVE.  I recently heard a joke I really liked: I am so proud of myself. I walked into a room today and actually remembered why I was there... of course it was the bathroom... but I'm still proud.
