Every once in a while I hear about others having accountability partners, and sure some find it valuable to stay on track for business. I think when you get into this business it is a great idea, and keeps you focused on attaining goals.
There are times you have lulls in the business, and remember back in 2008 when I could not sell a house to save my soul. Selling only 6 houses that year was a huge fail. Was it my attitude? There were other new agents that were doing great -- was it because they did not know otherwise? I think an accountability partner may have been helpful during that time!
On occasion, I get email asking to be a partner with a newer agent that I have never heard of, run into, never shown my listing, have not shown theirs..and they asked if we could be partners. I have an agent now, and we do a call usually daily to check on progress of business.
Why would you reach out to someone you don't know? Is that what their company is asking of them? Why did they join that company?
I definitely do not need a kick in the rear to get business coming my way, I am my worst enemy when it comes to that! I know when I need busines, I don't stop until it does. I only stop when I know I cannot handle any more business.
Have you had an accountability partner, or have you thought about doing this?
