I thought I'd write a few lines about my exit from the real estate business. I planned my exit many years ago. I've been licensed since 1978 and my last commission check was received 2 years ago. For the past 2 years, the well has dried!!! I'll not be renewing my license in September, but it's been a 'hell of a run.'
Watching my daughter blend into and taking over The Todaro Team has been a proud moment for me. She's improved the marketing and her team in one person. The name 'The Todaro Team' continues to be the team name.
The marketing has changed significantly online and many online sites are used consistently and successfully. However, that main marketing source used by me continues to exist.
The full page local newspaper ad plus the front page double spot continues to compliment the page. My favorite Direct Mail Marketing for fresh new listings is a success and that mailing goes out quarterly. Not very many agents mail postcards, but The Todaro Team does consistently and successfully.
Real estate will always have changes in methods of marketing, but some things never get old. Print marketing still works well locally. Being consistent monthly with a new flavor and theme continues to work well, and Branding Is What Marketing Is All About.
Branding brings business to those who work it properly. I'm thankful that Tammy paid attention; picked up that ball and ran with it. That ball never dropped, and it's more powerful now than ever before.
Just an initial thought from me, regarding the real estate business......
