Blogging is really catching on, isn't it? I think that I see the future and it is in video. Here's why?
There are so many bloggers writing about so many topics, with so much misinformation and so much opinion, and so much humor, and so much information, and so much fact, and so much fiction, and, and, and.....white noise...................................
I think it is going to be too much. It'll get like when you're in a room and everyone is talking, but very few people are conversing. When it gets to that point you just learn to tune it all out until something stands out.
Video may be that standout. I am already seeing it pop up more and more. I also think that it will separate us bloggers. Not everyone writes as well as they speak. Most of us aren't nearly as interesting to look at as we are to read. For those of you who are fun to look at, can you speak well on camera. How about that 10 extra pounds it adds? This may separate the men from the boys (so to speak).
This is like newspaper versus TV. Where do most people get their news from? Blogging is a very new forum that really got it's legs at the beginning of the Bush era at the onset of the Iraq war. It is heating up rapidly and may heat up to the point of explosion.
Don't get me wrong, there will always be bloggers and people who read them, but the video bloggers, I think, will get more market share. It's just human attention spans, lack of time, and marketing that make it this way.
So I think that video bloggers will take over. Wait, does Youtube.com count? Am I already behind the times?
