There IS a time to be Slothful

The Minot Lions Club Slothalon is back.

For most of my life the thought of being slothful appalled me. Not so much these days as I've aged and mellowed.

I am well beyond the days of needing to prove what a magnificent competitor I am (or never was 🙃).

The Lions Club Slothalon is a fun way to help the Lions promote their focus of helping others with eyesight issues. To learn more head to their website www.minotlions.com/tryslothalon

I could really use a slothful day or two.  This event seems like it will be a fun one...and relaxing!

Hello Bob,  My dad use to be a lions club member for years and it is something I should do now but it is a time factor.

Hi Ray Henson . I will admit that this summer I have overall been pretty slothful. I am enjoying it BUT I should work a little harder to pay for my office space rent.

I am thinking the same thing for myself Grant Schneider . There are not many physical activities I can participate in these days. 🙂

I was a Lion for many years Will Hamm and I truly enjoyed it but as you said time became a factor as well as I really didn't want the large meals that came with the noon meetings.

What a cute idea, Bob! Whenever I've decided to kick back in my life I've never had any guilt about doing so. The only guilt I feel is that I haven't done enough of that throughout my life.

Wow, August 20th is not that far away. I can't believe how fast this summer is going. Sigh.

I am reflecting back the same way Nina Hollander, Broker HOWEVER when Tina was born I had already made the decision I would slow down and be there for her every day. I gave up a very high paying job that I was very successful at because it required many overnight stays a week and when I was home it still demanded 12 hours of input. That's how my Dad lived. I decided I didn't want to be my Dad... I wanted to be a father to my children. I would never change that decision as Tina and Timmothy have been such a wonderful gift from God. Oh how I've been blessed.

After the State Fair I usually sigh and say "Summer is over" Kat Palmiotti . I am not feeling that anxiety yet because we have had a wonderful summer this year. With Timmothy going back to college in 20 days and Carol returning to her teaching career on the same day I know fall is right around the corner.
