Inspired by posts that I see from others, I wanted to begin a weekly series of resources for people in need that are in the East Valley. I think continuing to research for this weekly series will also help me to discover what is really out there for those in need.

The Arizona Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) provides services to parents and caretakers who receive child support as well as parents who pay child support. Some of the services include obtaining a child support order, collecting child, medical and spousal support from parents who have a court order, and helping unwed parents establish paternity for their child.

First thank you for your quest to research necessary services. Unfortunately it seems there are quite a few children who appear not to have the "best or even good family." My sense is when we started putting our parents and grandparents in nursing facility, that "goodness" those elderly family members provided was lost.

I think the foster care system is messed up too Sheri Sperry - MCNE® a friend was telling me about a kid she used to take care of but then he got placed with someone else and after the program ended, they kicked him out and he was homeless.
