It's a buyer's market in 55+ communities in Boynton Beach Florida.  In fact, it's a buyer's market in pretty much all communities in this area now.

Yes, you heard that right.  The real estate market has turned in favor of buyers.  

Just a few short months ago, buyers were having a very hard time buying a home.  That is not so anymore.  Now the reverse is true.

 

INVENTORY IN 55+ COMMUNITIES

There is inventory in the 55+ communities in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Lake Worth.   Yesterday, I was in one community that had 10 homes for sale and another with 11 homes for sale.  Just four months ago, there were zero homes for sale in these communities and others like them.

This makes it nice for buyers.  They have choices, once again.   They can view homes, make an offer, have a regular inspection period and closing. 

And much of the inventory is just sitting.

 

ALL-AGE COMMUNITIES

The same is true in all-age communities in Boca, Delray and Boynton.  There is a good amount of inventory and it, too, is sitting.   Same with condos, oceanfront condos, pet-friendly condos and more.  

 

What it's like to be a buyer in 2022?  It's a great time to be a buyer now!

 

REAL ESTATE MARKET IN BOYNTON BEACH

Everyone has an opinion about the real estate market, and they're entitled to their opinion.  I've been in the Boca/Delray/Boynton/Highland Beach area for 28 years, so I'm going to give you mine.

If you've been looking for a home, now is the time.  If you see inventory and it's sitting, find yourself a great buyer's agent and go for it.  Especially in the 55+ communities.   

Great buyer's agents know where the deals are.  Find yourself one and get to work.

 

FINAL THOUGHTS

I guess it comes down to time.  When you're young, you know you have time.  When you're looking in 55+ communities, time becomes more precious. 

The last two years and the pandemic have surely shown us this.  If you can find what you want and get a deal, you've done well.   

So, let's go house hunting!

Hello Elyse - real estate is always an interesting business because it is so much more than just "business".    It's obviously about buying and selling plus timing, condition as well as all sorts of different factors.  But combined with those important factors is the people involved.  Personalities and emotions play a role.  Finding the right connections between each of the participants in a transaction matter when moving to/from a place.
