(Not so ) Wordless Wednesday ~ Taste Test

One afternoon we were having lunch at the Buffalo Café in Whitefish Montana and Beautiful Beckett ordered lemonade. I ordered water and asked for some lemons. Beckett wanted to know why I ordered lemons for my water and I told her every morning I squeeze some lemon in water, warm it up and drink it. The rest of the day when I drink water I try to add some lemon too.

She looked at me funny and wanted to taste it and compare it to her lemonade so we held a taste testing.  She drank some of the lemon water and said “this is good!” She still liked her lemonade but said it tasted sweet after drinking my lemon water. Beckett is adventuresome in life and always willing to try something new and different. This will serve her well as she grows up.

Dorie, that is a good question, but think water with lemons is a lot less tangy.

Good morning Dorie - much better to squeeze the lemon in water since there is no sugar.

Love this Dorie!! I add lemon as well to my water! And good for BB for being willing to try something different! I’ve met many adults who would never try something new or different- look at what they may be missing!!!!

Hello Dorie - "taste" is an important sense.  And its relevance to everyday life can be significant.  And it can vary by individual as well as sorts of circumstances.  Trying things firsthand is often believing.

Good morning, Dorie... this reminded me how long it's been since I've had lemonade (or lemon water). Lemonade is just too sweet for me and when it comes to water I prefer it plain, cool (not ice cold), no ice.

Lemon water would get my vote, too much sugar is put into lemonade but that is what hooks people on it, haha.
