Price per square foot for Indian Land homes increased 15.0% to $199/square foot from $173/per square foot in the same month one year ago.

Clearly, Indian Land homeowners who purchased a home in the past several years are sitting on a lot of equity.

As you know, I am fond of Indian Land, not sure why though, haha.  Good to see that the market is still strong there.

Grant Schneider hi Grant... I'm with you on that assessment. One reason we won't see a ton of new listings of resale homes is because Indian Land is more of a "new" area with so much of its growth in the past 5 or so years. Homeowners are just not ready to sell.

Great report on the Indian Land community. You have clearly demonstrated Indian Land homeowners who purchased a home in the past several years are sitting on a lot of equity.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX good morning, Dorie... Indian Land is one of Charlotte's hot spots... fortunately new construction is picking up there but still not enough to satisfy demand.

Hi Nina-   again...an excellent market report for Indian Land. And your reasoning is probably right...because this area is relatively new, many homeowners are happy staying where they are.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... when I started in real estate in Charlotte area, our homeowners sold in an average of 3-5 years. Then that number moved to 5-7 years. Now... people are staying in their homes way longer than 7 years.
