“I want to apologize to you as Jill and I were very foolish and now are paying for our stupidity. Not sure you would have any interest in speaking to us after we blew you off and did our mortgage with Bank of America, what a s*** show that was.
Our main problem, we purchased our home without a home inspection – I know I know you totally advised against it. You were pretty adamant and wanted us to at least have an inspection done and if there are any problems, we’d know what they were. We did not take your advice, our agent at the time said we would lose the property. It turns out we bought a real lemon, with lots of issues.
We have met with an attorney and discussed suing the previous owner and the real estate agent. We have already spent over $50,000 for repairs and we’re not done.
We should have listed to you! Would you be willing to meet with us?
Raymond & Jill”
It would have been much wiser to spend and few hundred dollars for a full home inspection and walk away from their $5,000 deposit than dealing with what they have now. Believe me, I know how hard it has been for folks who were looking for months to find a home that was right for them. But to go in blind with no inspection just doesn’t make any sense to me.
Yes, I have a very strong opinion about this topic. I just hate the idea of folks going into what is most likely a person’s most expensive investment without that inspection insurance policy.
Let me know your thoughts…
