When is it too much?

I read this morning of how a network and correspondent is being sued by an athlete was suing them for $750 million. All because of how they were defaming his character.

We all make mistakes. We all have faults and flaws. All of us.

At what point is it fair to condemn those that have made mistakes. At what point have we gone too far.

When I moved to Las Vegas, I met a woman who felt so much shame for her past that she thought I would never want to be her friend. But become my friend she did. Now she is a woman that I admire as she became an international evangelist.

Here is a powerful speech from someone who knows what the price of shame can be. Most of you will never take the time to watch this speech. Let alone notice the people in the audience identifying with these words and wiping away their tears. For the few of us that will watch this may just remember to show more grace, more love and less judgement.

Many people like rumors or pay attention to negative tag lines and this is how the media makes money. I'm personally not interested in most ''big scandal news'' of celebs and digging through their ''dirty laundry''. No one is perfect, we all have the right to make mistakes and learn from them.

Rocky if anyone knows the price of shame it is her.  But she has taken that shame and grown stronger from it, instead of letting it defeat her.

People make mistakes.  The problem is when those mistakes come from people who can destroy another's life by their error. Calling people "racists" or "abusers" can be picked up and treated as fact in this world where people condemn and believe social media and often the news, unfortunately.

Rocky- I'm going to listen to the video while I try to answer this. If anyone should have felt shame it was her boss, not Monica. Our world today has ruined so many lives in the name of Me Too and wokesim. I'm sure that were I a celebrity or head of a company, someone would be able to go back to when I was in my early 20s and take me down because of something I said.

If HE forgives us, I think we can learn to forgive others.

I had seen this video before but just re-watched it. She raised a lot of very good points. Social Media and the Internet do allow easy access to people's mistakes and humiliations and we are all responsible to be compassionate and empathic.
