I am starting to read more positive articles and postings on the housing market nationwide. I must admit I was beginning to feel a bit depressed about all the constant negative press. I do not believe in sugar coating a situation just because it is painful, and I know that news is not just local...however, enough is enough. Wichita locally has managed to stay fairly strong. If a home is priced right and in good condition it will sell. Where is the positive storyline?
I have heard a lot of individuals quoting general statements of gloom and doom off the evening news about how "down" the Real Estate market is. Or about how "bad off" we are...and what an awful time it is to buy or sell your home. This is just NOT true. I wish that people would take a deep cleansing breath and relax.
This rant was provided because I have heard more than one person remark on the national housing market without clarifying it may be different here in Wichita. Again, I am really glad to see the nature of articles and news pieces beginning to change and be a little more upbeat overall. (Which I think will help people speak better of Wichita anyway)
I just have always felt we live in a wonderful community. We have a great city to raise children, get involved civically, buy a home (or two or three), find a variety of ways to entertain ourselves, and an excellent quality-of-life!!
