When that closing date, and/or time, is delayed the finger pointing starts and those fingers seem to point just about every direction except at oneself. Surprise! Sometimes it should point at you to.
You can be anyone involved in the transaction and that includes a whole lot more people then you ever knew were involved in your Real Estate transaction. Here is a partial list:
The Buyer, the Seller, the Appraiser, the Home Inspector,
the Title team ( a whole bunch of people), the Realtor
the Lender (another whole bunch of people), and
if you have a "remote" closing the Signing Company
I'm sure I forgot a few but I know with all certainty everyone above has delayed a closing of mine in my past.
Who was it today (of course that is why I'm writing this post), YOU, the Buyer/borrower. You forgot to follow through with the WIRE.
If you need to bring cash to the closing table be sure to read the directions about how the lender and/or the title company require you to do so.
