We'd all love to live a life of sunshine and rainbows. But that's not really how life works.
In a life well lived, we all experience good times and hard times. But it's how you get through the tough times that help you grow and thrive.
When you're slogging along, in need of life direction, or hitting a rough patch, pull out these questions. They'll force you to get clear on where you want to go. And how to make even your daily grind matter.
I answered them so that you can see what mine would be. What would your answers be?
1. How can you make today matter? Five years from today, what will this day have meant for you?
I'll make today matter by hugging my kids before school, telling everyone in my family I love them, and showing up to do my best work/writing.
2. What do you want to make sure is included in the story of your life?
Precious memories with my family and friends. An inspiring writer. And someone who served others well.

3. Who is the strongest person you know? What makes that person so strong?
My mom. She's shown me that sometimes things happen outside of your control. But you're strong, and you get through it anyway.
4. What is the number one thing you want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Raising healthy, happy, and impactful kids.
5. What situations make you most uncomfortable?
Speaking in front of others is at the top of the list. It probably means that I should do more of it!
