When we talk accessories, most people undoubtedly think of what we wear. Our minds race to get a visual of that trendy new bag or that haute new necklace. But accessories are also the jewellery for our home. They are the key pieces that dress a house and turn it into a home. They are the bits of glitter and dashes of colour that add warmth and give the room it's WOW factor!

When dressing your home think about what you are trying to say and choose your accessories accordingly...

Nice job - a lot of older homes here have that brick fireplace and they are so bland. You did a great job of making it pop and modernizing it as well without changing the structure at all - minimal cost, maximum effect - STAGING!

Perfect pictures to illustrate your point. Most homes are choking in tchotchkes. The number needs to be small, but the size needs to be big. Your black accessories really pop off the brick. Great job!!

I've staged many homes with bland/out of date furniture and it's the accessories that make it a Show Home. My favourite accessory is pillows. I can't tell you how many pillows I own; big ones, small ones; all colours; all fabrics. They can transform any home.
