Labor Day Weekend Marking End of Summer 2022

With Labor Day Weekend officially moving us from summer to the beginning of Northern Idaho Fall it is time to truly enjoy the shortened, yet long warm days and cooler evenings.

Sandpoint Realty Back Yard BBQ's

You can be sure I will be enjoying much of this beautiful North Idaho weather during the weekend, knowing it is but a short time before the lush green of the trees will be gone and flowers no longer bright and full.  Ahhh, and what would Labor Day weekend be without a BBQ or two?  Just to the right of the above shot sits just that BBQ!

And more likely than not this will be the spot I will be enjoying the view from a good portion of the time.  This also gives a better look see at the guardian's of the Oasis.  4 wood carved bears watching over any who are near, and a 5th out of sight. 

 

Sandpoint Realty Hummingbirds

Not quite so easily seen are a couple of the hummingbird feeders that are tucked away amongst the back drop of greens.  This little guy had no trouble finding this one though.  These little guys fascinate us all I am sure.

Hi Mark- our winters aren't as rough as yours but I still prefer warmer weather to cold. Is that a Jacuzzi?   When we lived in Northern VA, we loved getting in it when it was really cold out. Of course  we had to make a quick run to the house when we got out!!

Yes it is.  I enjoy it year round but during the hot summer months do so at night.  North Idaho is fortunate in cooling down at night even on the hottest of days.  M

Endre Barath, Jr. , as you know grew up Southern California boy so know the heat.  Fortunate up here in the much cooler nights no matter the day temps.  Don't us AC.  Leave the door cracked at night with a fan blowing and open the bedroom window for flow.  Very effective.  Take care the rest of the weekend and stay cool.  Mark

I love hummingbirds, and am often amazed at the various colors they come in.  In my yard, I see them with purple, green, red and brown.
