Presently North Idaho has a few fires burning in Boundary County, of which Bonners Ferry Idaho is pretty much central to, including the County Seat. Sandpoint Realty 'Friday Flag' shows itself off a few different ways this week. The smoke when taking this photo was bad, but had cleared a bit with the winds having blown most of the morning.
A past client, turned friend, purchased this home in Bonners Ferry Idaho a couple of years ago. I have enjoyed watching the constant improvements as the months pass by. In driving to a showing yesterday I knew I would need stop on the way back for a 'Friday Flag' photo. This flag was put up as a special thank you to the firefighters keeping residents safe.
When Endre Barath Jr. and I hosted the June Active Rain challenge I was pleased with all the USA Flag shots, but more so I was emotionally moved by some of the stories.
Aura Alex, an immigrant turned USA Citizen showed a passion for being part of the United States that few Natural Born Americans show. I bring this up because this week's Flag is flown by an Immigrant turned citizen. While talking with her, while taking photos, her passion for our Country rang out loud and clear.
Having been born here I realize I do take much of our great county for granted. Unfortunate for me to do so. Since the June Challenge I have seen myself looking around with more grateful eyes and listening to this proud American yesterday only enhanced my sense of gratitude.
So with 'Ole Glory' being flown, a thank you to our firefighters, and a deep passion for our United States of America I thank this Bonners Ferry Idaho resident for flying our 'Stars and Stipes'.
