That initial moment. A brief glimpse, and suddenly your pulse increases. Your temperature raises. You are excited and you want more. You want it now. Yeah, your curiosity is leading you closer. You feel the anitici . . . . . . . . . . . pation.
Yes, that is what you want in your blog posts.
What? You thought I was talking about something else? No. I am talking about your blog posts. Now granted, we have all been told that it is good to post here and then use the post as clickbait to get folks to see the rest on your website. It helps your business and how your website is regarded by Google.
However, some folks have gone too far. They create a blog post where 50 words are said with the person's name, address, phone number and where they sell real estate - but then they don't say ONE SINGLE THING about their headline. Instead, they want you to read the article elsewhere and so they just leave a CLICK HERE .
I, for one, have stopped clicking there. In fact when I see a number of those posts in a row, I stop clicking on that person's posts. Earlier this week Kathy Streib published a post about getting more comments on your posts. I mentioned this trend and she thought this subject may make a good post. So, here it is.
If you want to "tease" us and get us to click on your link, then for goodness sake, give us SOME piece of information that would entice us (no your business address does NOT entice me).
