Every time I see a photo of Queen Elizabeth taken during that era, I think of my own mother.  I often thought the two looked enough alike to have been sisters.

Hi Georgie- that must have been so interesting. When I find things like this I love to sit down and take a journey back in time. I wasn't that long ago and yet in many ways it was. 

That is really cool.  We have been clearing out my parent's home for renovation and although it hasn't been much fun, coming across memorable things has put a smile on our faces.
