Just like different strokes for different folks is true, what success means for each of us is not the same. To some it's money or career. To others it's happiness in a family or a spiritual life. To many, it's all of that together.
But how do you get there? The first step is write down your goals. Write them down, don't just think about them and keep them in your head. The act of writing them out helps define them and will help you start to develop the roadmap to get there.
As an example in real estate: If you want to get more listings, write a goal of "Get 10 Listings in the next 30 days." Then put a plan together to achieve that goal. In your market, if that's tough for you right now, start to think out of the box. Perhaps the rental market will help you find renters that have a property to sell. Try a unique approach to attract FSBO sellers. Or use Open Listings with new construction home sellers. My State MLS allows Open Listings.
So what is success to you? Start writing your goals today and acting on them!
