If the Pew Fits

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Ward County Notary Services

This is my 2nd and final post about the church pew that followed me home (on my trailer) this past Wednesday.

I am happy to say that it fit perfectly on my deck... despite much doubt from other family members.

Even with the pew there is still plenty of room for the picnic table, the storage shed, and the grill (not pictured). The pew had to sit on my trailer a couple of days until a neighbor could help Timmothy lift it off the trailer and up upon the deck (thanks Bruce C.).

Good news for the pew, it's been saved.

And you as well Eric Bouler . I thought I'd get this post up before I head off to worship.

Thank you Wayne Martin . I was surprised how comfortable the pew is. Now I just need to add some clear coat of some kind to protect it from the outdoor elements.

Thank you Dorie Dillard Austin TX and Wayne Martin for liking the title. When I wrote it I wasn't even thinking about the old saying "if the shoe fits" but now I know why you and Wayne like it.

How cool is that, Bob! You showed those naysayers at the end of the day. Sometimes you just have to have faith!

So glad the "pew" worked and it looks amazing on your deck.  Salvaging usable furniture especially from a church is a worthwhile project.

It fits like a glove, and I am not talking about the ones that OJ wore.  😉  It looks really nice.  I hope you get to enjoy it for a long time.

I did have faith Nina Hollander, Broker , so much so that I didn't even measure to see if it would fit 😂.

It's funny Leanne Smith how furniture can be so trendy. I remember when pews, cut to a smaller size, were a rage. We had trouble finding takers for our pews.

Ray Henson I am surprised at how comfortable it is. I do believe, as you said, we will get many years of enjoyment from it.

It really does fit nice Carol Williams and we can still get another chair in one one end or the other. There is still plenty of room for the picnic table as well.

That is the BIG question Will Hamm and only time will tell. I will be giving it several coats of a clear lacquer before this winter.

Hi Bob- that's wonderful news!!! Larry and I love it when we can repurpose things and keep them out of the landfill.   We found a bench in the Intracoastal after a hurricane and pulled it up on the dive platform. We took it back to our dock and there it sat until we moved.

This coming week, starting tomorrow, if fall clean-up week in Minot Kathy Streib and it is HUGE for re-purposing. Already people are shopping the boulevards and making many items their own.

It did fit perfectly and still left enough room for another chair or small table on the end Kat Palmiotti . I figure we could comfortably seat 14 on our deck and still have foot room for folks to get up and walk around.
