Mad About Modern Home Tour: returns September 24 after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. From 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM you'll be able to explore some of the best of the Queen City's mid-century and modern homes, focusing on homes built from the 1950's-1970's. Your ticket will let you explore five homes located in Myers Park, NODA, south Charlotte, one public space, as well as get special access to the Charlotte Museum of History's exhibit: "Charlotte: Signs of Home." - Fall South End 8th Annual Wine & Hops Festival: on Saturday, September 24th, you be able to enjoy wines, cider and brews paired with live music. Tickets includes boundless sampling of wines, ciders & craft brews. Food trucks will also be on-site at an additional charge. The South End Wine & Hops Festival has been voted Charlotte Magazine's Best Charlotte Festival every year since 2016 through 2021. The festival will be held at Lenny Boy Brewing at 3000 S Tryon Street (rain or shine) from 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM. VIP and early admission ticket holders can arrive at 1:00 PM. Flower Arranging: Learn how to arrange your own fall flower bouquet on Saturday, September 24th from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, also in Charlotte's South End neighborhood at 100 West Worthington Avenue. This is a free event, on a first come, first serve basis.
Charlotte International Arts Festival: Friday, September 23rd and runs through October 2nd. The annual festival features 200+ curated attractions of imaginative visual and performing arts from creative international and local artists to celebrate diversity. Many of the event are free. 75th Season Family Festival: Attend the Children's Theatre of Charlotte Day on the opening weekend of “Annie” and enjoy free performances, balloon twisting, face painting, food trucks, exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, and more. This is a free event from 1:00 PM till 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 24th at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center at 300 East 7th Street in Uptown Charlotte. Enjoy A Dinner At Bonterra: Located in Dilworth for some 20 years, Bonterra sold its location in a historic 1897 church last December in preparation for its move to Phillips Place in South Park at 6809 Phillips Place Court. No Filter Coffee Festival: Sunday, September 25th from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM at Camp North End located at 1824 Statesville Avenue in Charlotte. Come out and taste unlimited samples from 30+ craft coffee roasters and specialty tea companies, craft chocolates, attend educational lectures and panel discussions with industry leaders, enjoy live entertainment and more in this celebration of southeastern coffee culture. Gospel Sunday Tribute To Whitney Houston: with special guest Kelsey D. for a tribute to Whitney Houston: Songs from The Preachers Wife Soundtrack and more at Middle C Jazz on Sunday, September 23rd at 300 South Brevard Street in Uptown Charlotte. Funny Bus Comedy City Tour: laugh your way through this 90 minute tour with a comedic spin on the sights, sounds and history of the Queen City on Friday, September 23rd. The Funny Bus Tour was named the most popular tour in North Carolina by Time Money Magazine. Tour begins at 6:00 PM at 301 East 7th Street in Uptown Charlotte. Old Mecklenburg Brewery's Annual Mecktoberfest: September 23-25. This is one of Charlotte area's biggest Oktoberfest events each year. You can enjoy Mecktoberfest Märzen Lager, live music, pretzels, lederhosen, sausages, dirndls, bier-filled steins and the popular das boot. Festival hours are 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays; 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays.
