I was just remembering something my RE instructor told me in one of the many classes I took with him so I thought I would share it. He said something to the effect of: " Real estate is not about the money. Never look at it as about making money. Do the best you can to help people, be honest, be the best person you can, and the money will follow." I try to live by these words, and hopefully they can help some of you too.
Real Estate is all about people skill's and great connections... It's not about the money...if it was...I would have been gone long ago.
I love people, I love helping people....that's what Real Estate is...plain and simple...
In CRS classes they say "relationships, not transactions". And I like that, they talk about how much it will rain on you if you have just 20 good clients who love you.
Personally, I don't really care about the $, as long as I can pay my bills. I just like the competition and the fun of getting people where they need to be, properly. But as a businessperson, I also care about what percent of the pie I have, my goals, who is the benchmark in what, where I am the benchmark, and so on. I want to improve and be the best.
Good advice above.
Good blog Chris. I'd like to share this with individuals I work with. I also like what Brendan quoted. Have a great 4th and keep blogging.

Great advice, Chris. This business is all about people and bringing them together. A buyer needs a seller and vice versa. Getting the deal done is like "making peace" in a way. Hopefully everyone is happy at the end of the day!
I agree with you , I have heard this said and i believe it. Give the best customer service possible and your business will grow.
You are absolutely right Chris, If a person is honest in his business, no help is needed he can come up in life cause of people's blessing
Best
