🙌How Blogging has Enriched my Life and Business

This month's challenge is requesting us to share our blogging successes thanks to our Hosts Carol Williams, Aura Alex and Leanne Smith.    

While achieving my e-Pro certification, it was brought up in the class that everyone should join ActiveRain.   WHAT WAS THAT?   What the heck is blogging?    I joined back in 2007 but did not publish a blog until April 2008.   Up thru 2010, I dabbled and lurked, but then received a referral from Robin Scott from Texas.   She had a couple that was moving up here and needed an agent!   Well, THAT got me blogging!     

ActiveRain went through a few owners, and some of that time our blogs got a lot of traction.   The public saw our posts and I got several calls.

Back years ago there was ActiveRain University, and they taught us how to put together a neighborhood posts, listings posts, How-to, and other topics to entice the public to read them.    That knowledge spilled over into many other social media sites including our websites.

Over the years I have received many calls off my blogs from potential buyers that ended up buying, some have not, and some called to get directions to a newly opened store, or find out if the outdoor concert will be canceled due to rain.    

Probably my best blogging success was virtually meeting Patricia Beck from Colorado Springs.    We have given each other transactions for years.    I now have introduced Laura Erwin (my agent) to Patricia as well, for the day I am not available.     She is awesome with my clients, and she trusts her clients with me.   It truly has been a WIN-WIN.    The end of September's closing was a referral from CA, through her.   They originally thought they were moving to the Springs but got a better offer in Denver.   Patricia still blogs, just not often - she is too busy!

It has been fun meeting so many Rainers across the Country when I go on vacation!   I have stayed at some of their homes, and met some for coffee/lunch or recently breakfast with Kat Palmiotti at her beautiful home.    I had a couple relocating for his job to Melbourne FL, and knew right away Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty would be PERFECT for them.   It was a great match!   In the end, have friends all across this Country, all because of ActiveRain!

I would have to go through my spreadsheet for all these years to see how many transactions are attributed to ActiveRain, but sure they are quite a few!    It does pay to blog, and often!
