That's Different

On the way home from a walk in the park I decided show Timmothy & Carol some unusual homes I drove by earlier. Carol spotted this thing in a backyard that I assume some artist made about 50 years ago out of pipe and farm equipment disks. I suppose originally it was made for potted plants... and then came along another artist who most likely didn't have a green thumb.

I am further guessing that the rock they put on the first disk had an extreme gravitational pull to it. Here is another close up of a different disk.

Hi Bob- well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Art takes many forms, doesn't it.

Very interesting, Bob.  I've not seen anything quite like it.

Good morning Bob. Interesting to say the least. Maybe the person who made it was practicing his welding with odd scraps. I would not use it for plants. I lack a green thumb, so the rocks look good. Enjoy your day.

Interesting, but if I were buying that home, I'd remove the entire thing.

Unusual, yes. Something I'd like in my own yard? Never! Kathy Streib said the same in a much more diplomatic way! 😹

You are spot on Kathy Streib and I also wonder if Wayne Martin is not as well except I do know you have to be a pretty good welder to weld pipe.

Thanks for the Monday LOL Jeff Masich-Scottsdale AZ Associate Broker,MBA,GRI . I like it as well but as Nina Hollander, Broker said I'm not sure I'd put it in my yard. Now if there were beautiful felines on each disk Nina may change her mind 😂.

Myrl Jeffcoat I believe I've seen a welded Christmas tree that would be similar and of course on a much smaller scale an indoor plant holder... maybe. 😁

If it were made for plants Wayne Martin (which I suspect it was) imagine what a nightmare it would be to water the top few plants and it the plants grew well what do you do with them if you wanted to keep them? 😒

Kat Palmiotti if you removed it and took the metal in as scrap you might earn enough to purchase a manageable plant holder.  😃

Nina Hollander, Broker I think we all agree on the unusual part and thank goodness that when it comes to art we can legitimately say "was the artist on drugs?". I hope no one asks that when it comes to Tinas and Timmothy's work. 😊
