Spice Up Your Life by Falling in Love with Fall

Fall in October has a certain kind of vibe that makes you sniff the air and realize, change is in progress. Some favorite scents include:

  • Cinnamon
  • Apple Cinnamon
  • Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin
  • Spiced Cider
  • Cinnamon Pumpkin Butter
  • Chai Tea Latte
  • Pumpkin Chai
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • Brown Sugar Vanilla
  • Apple, Cinnamon, and Honey
  • Nutmeg
  • Cloves
  • Sliced Oranges
  • Sandalwood
  • Bonfire
  • Smoked Fire Wood
  • Amber Wood
  • Musk
  • Toasted Marshmallows
  • Fresh Baked Bread
  • Homemade Cookies

The freshest scent of all is the Outdoor Scent and anything with leaves. Natural outdoor fragrance beats manufactured candles with artificial scents and the next best thing to spice up your life in Fall indoors is to use Cold Air Diffusion which leaves no residue. It pays to keep a safe, clean home environment that is free of

  • Common carcinogens
  • Formaldehyde,
  • Benzene
  • Phtalates
  • Toluene

Some people prefer to cozy up with a cup of herbal tea or a nice cup of coffee in the morning. The scent and taste awakens your senses. For the house, personally, I avoid using synthetic cartridges and plug ins, but sometimes they work well if manufacturers use the highest-quality fragrance oils. When listing a home for sale, clean, neutral, natural odors sells better and quicker. Whether it's your own personal sanctuary or a buyer seeking their own personal sanctuary, its the ambiance that people want that I want this now invitation to buy or stay forever. I once listed a beautiful home but it was hard to sell because of the color and type of floors the owners chose. After price reductions, I finally decided to try fresh lilies and noticed the Casa Blanca Oriental Lilies and Pink ones gave off the best scent. Within the next three showings, there were three buyers presenting offers. But the yellow lilies with crimson centers and scented roses were very attractive and soothing to see and smell in other houses. You never really know what the nose craves best!

Happy Fall to all! Spice up your life with the scents of Fall.

There’s so much pumpkin spice and every corner of America seems to be OK with that licious flavor and I’m pretty OK with it too

Good morning Patricia. One of my favorite parts of the year is when apple cinnamon donuts are available. And this is the time. Enjoy your day.

Fresh flowers with a beautiful scent would definitely work better than plug in room deodorizers!  As for the scents of Fall, yum.

I love a good natural scent in the air and Fall seems to provide a lot of very enticing scents in the air!

Brian England - "Enticing scents." I like that description of natural scents in Fall. It appeals to our senses in the most aromatic way that travels by air!

May you have a happy Monday.

Good morning, Patricia... I'm very sensitive to scents... suffer terrible headaches from many of them. I can tolerate vanilla scents and coffee scent. It's a reason I also never wear any kind of perfume anymore.

Nina Hollander, Broker - My mother was exactly the same when it comes to scents. She always suffered from headaches and never found a perfume that didn't cause headaches. Yes. I do believe some are more sensitive to scents than others.

I wish you a Happy Monday.

No bigger deterrent of a pleasant showing experience than a home with less than fresh and clean smells.  Good post.  m

Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho - You are absolutely right! It's an automatic turnoff when a buyer doesn't like the odors. There is nothing else that comes close to clean than clean.

Thanks for the feedback! I hope life is good for you!

Hannah Williams - Sorry to hear it is "damp and Chilly," in Philly. We are having great weather but as we all know, temperatures change and the weather is very unpredictable.

I am sending you warm wishes and virtual hugs to get the chill out. Also, I hope you get some listings soon. I could use some myself. Take care and know you have a friend in Flower Mound.
