When A Dumbphone
Becomes Adorkable. . .
Beyond idiomatically, the word seems to be "on the street". And it appears there are some words and terms joining the race where references to this, that and thereabouts exist.
Recently, I saw an online announcement that Merriam-Webster has made some additions to their dictionary. Joining the word parade is dumbphone, adorkable and side hustle among others.
While some of the words were not new-t0-me, I guess these additions create excitement in the dictionary world. Being and staying aware helps keep us ready to go forward over the hurdles of wordplay where increased knowledge can help us stay competitive.
Years ago, the wordsmithery of Carol Williams and her introduction of pondertunity in a comment (sadly, an omission to the MW list is clearly an oversight) prompted me to think of pondermust. As for new dictionary discoveries, I guess that race continues and may the excitement increase in sighs. . .
