Autumn Apple Bourbon Fizz

Pumpkin spice isn't the only star flavor of the season—not when fresh harvest apples are here to give the gourds a run for their money!

 

This delicious, buttery cocktail is a refreshingly cool drink that will warm you right up. The smooth balance of bourbon and apple cinnamon melds together in a beautiful harmony that is perfect for fall!

Ingredients

  • Orange Wedges, for the glass
  • 1/2 Tbs Cinnamon + 1 Tbs Sugar, for the rim
  • 3 Tbs Apple Butter
  • 2 Oz Bourbon
  • 4 to 6 Oz Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
  • Dash of Cinnamon, for garnish
  • Fresh Figs, for garnish

Directions

  1. Run a wedge of citrus around the rim of your glass. We recommend orange, but lemon or lime work as well. 
  2. Stir together the cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Dip the rim of your glass in the mixture.
  3. Fill a shaker glass with ice. Add the apple butter, bourbon, and a little cinnamon. Shake well for 30 seconds. Pour the mixture into the glass. 
  4. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger ale or ginger beer. 
  5. Garnish with a slice of fig.

Hi Will... since I don't drink hard spirits this is one I'd have to pass on. Even when I did drink hard spirits, bourbon, gin and scotch were not something I consumed.
