Introducing Active Rain member wallpapers/calendars...
For awhile now I've been thinking about a way to try and give extra exposure to some of the very talented and inspiring members we have here in the Rain.
I believe that any of us who have been fortunate enough to build a following, also have a responsibility to use that "stage" to shine the light on some of our fellow Rainers, introduce newbies to the crowd, expose talent, etc...
The Idea
Usually at the beginning of each month I post a wallpaper/calendar from my art website for anyone who wants to spice up their monitor. Those will still be available but this week I decided to do something different...
Susie Blackmon is more than just a successful RE agent and talented blogger. After an email exchange we had yesterday about our mutual love for animals, I discovered that Susie is also a very talented photographer!
On BuckingTheRealEstateTrend.com you can see some of Susie's beautiful photography in the feature Photo Of The Day
I asked Susie if she'd be interested in allowing me to use one of her photos in a wallpaper/calendar that I could feature so other Rainers could see her photography as well. She loved the idea and the result is...

And now it's your turn...
In the coming weeks I'll be doing a post about marketing you with wallpapers, calendars, etc... I've been doing it for years with incredible results and even if you're not a painter, photographer, etc... There are many ways to get great material that you can use to market yourself with this idea without it looking like advertising. More about that later.
Until then, if you have an idea, a photo, a concept, a thought or whatever you think would make a beautiful, inspiring or even funny wallpaper, let me know about it and you could be my next "victim". I would love to feature more of our talented Rainers in wallpapers/calendars.
You can reach me direct at marti@garaughty.com if you have any questions, ideas or suggestions. I'd love to see them, later...
