Rudy grew up in a blue-collar family with seven brothers and sisters. He was the smallest in his class, standing at just 5’6” and weighing 165 pounds. Rudy dreamed of playing football for Notre Dame, but his grades and size were against him. However, he didn’t let that stop him. Rudy studied hard and improved his grades enough to qualify for admission to Notre Dame. Then, he worked tirelessly to increase his strength and size so that he could make the football team. Finally, after years of hard work, Rudy achieved his dream of playing football for Notre Dame when he suited up for the 1975 season. He even made the game-winning tackle in the last seconds of the game!
The moral of Rudy’s story is that anyone can achieve their dreams if they are willing to work hard enough. No matter your circumstances, you can find a way to achieve your dreams if you have the dedication and perseverance that Rudy had. It might not be easy, but it will be worth it in the end!
