The Fall Colors Are Here In Central CT, Week 4

As we head into the last days of October, the colors are truly, showing and with the drop in temps and wind, the trees will be shedding the foliage quickly.

I have been showing the progression of the colors on our par 3 fifth hole.

On October 1 we had very little in color surrounding the green.

On October 9, it was starting to show shades of yellow and red.

Coming up to October 16 we are definitely getting to the cusp of peak in color surrounding the green.

This morning it was very distracting for the wind blowing the leaves, and the colors around the hole.

From the tee, the hole was bright.

And looking back at the tee from the green was just as impressive.

We are very reaching peak and then the dark side of autumn with the onset of winter starts.

Autumn is still my favorite year even though in the high desert we lack the colors of the Midwest.

Hi Ed... something so very special about the fall colors... no matter how often one sees them, they never get old.

The progression is so beautiful to see, I am glad that you share it with us, especially since I don't get to see it in my area.

Ed the trees on your golf course are holding their leaves longer than the site I did my Fall Progression Of Color series this year.  Most of the trees will be losing their leaves this week because of all the rain we are suppose to get, so enjoy those beautiful colors while you can.

Joan Cox   At this stage of my life, I saw the trees because I was on the course.

Myrl Jeffcoat   The colors are all over and they will be challenged for the rain and wind we are experiencing this week

Thanks for the recognition

Leanne Smith   Here in New England, we have the elevations to offer the vistas and the cooler temps that help with the colors.

Kathy Streib   I look at the colors with some sadness as we know what follows

Nina Hollander, Broker   We have bright colors this year and they are seldom around for more than a month.

Grant Schneider   They are past peak in Litchfield County and we will be there as well this week

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400   They are bright and even those that are in clusters offer vibrant differences this year.

Roy Kelly thanks for stopping to comment.

George Souto   It could be just a little difference in temps as we are closer to the shore than your area
