Litchfield County in CT is Past Peak

On my regular Wednesday morning visit to Watertown Ct, I again went by the golf course at Crestbrook park to take a look at the progression of the colors.

The day was grey and cloudy and what color that was still left was subdued.

The top of the second hole looking across the valley as seen on October 12.

Then the week after that, October 19

And on October 26 we are really not seeing a lot of color

And the 6th fairway with the same progression:

I would suspect that as we are into cooler temps and windy days that next week the colors should be all gone.

Spring will bring some color back, thankfully, Ed. I am not excited about winter but must tolerate it to get to better weather!

Your Litchfield County progression of colors is magnificent, Ed.  I continue to wait any change of color here in Sacramento.

Ed:

What fun to see the color changes, and they seem to be shifting pretty quickly! Thanks for the foliage tour!

Good morning, Ed... those colors always make me stop and take a second look. So beautiful. But even without leaves, the scenery is quite lovely.

Ed, beautiful colors, and we had severe wind Sunday, which took most of our leaves.

It is beautiful whilst it lasts and then gone. We had a beautiful sunrise this morning with the sun reflecting off the trees.

Ed the wind and rain earlier this week caused many of the trees around here to lose their leaves.  There are some trees with leaves, but I agree with you that even those will most likely be gone in another week or two.
