Happy Halloween- Some Tricks and A Few Treats
Halloween seems to be pretty quiet this year. Over the years as times have changed and in the interest of safety, many communities have Trunk or Treat areas rather than having our wee ones out knocking on doors in the neighborhood.
In our last neighborhood in Delray Beach, we would have 150+ tricksters…bags open…waiting to see what sweet treat they would receive.
Their parents stood patiently nearby, some reminding them to say Trick or Treat and sometimes to say Thank you!
Some of the parents walked the route with their friends and chatted…an adult beverage in hand.
One Halloween, when I opened the door, there stood “Harry Potter.” He looked past me and could see Larry working on one of his Radio Controlled Planes. He ran past me and began asking Larry all sorts of questions!
His parents caught up with him and said that his uncle flew RC planes and “Harry” is fascinated by them.
The Astros are playing tonight at 7 pm (CST )...so I have a feeling that the parents will make sure that the Tricksters and Treaters are done by game time.
Happy Halloween!
