Sandpoint Realty 'Monday Motivation' - November 7, 2022

Sandpoint Realty 'Monday Motivation' hits 'spot on' for most of us in cold weather, or snow states.

Sandpoint Realty Monday Motivation

I was hustling yesterday to get the Halloween decorations and blowups down knowing that they were as dry as they were going to get.  Succeeded in doing so.

Another factor was leaves and needles that waited until the last North Idaho wind rain storm, of just a few days ago, to fall in earnest.  I was only semi successful there.  At least getting areas that will need snow blowing cleared of debris.

So as most cold state, as Idaho, occupants will agree this quote does hit home.  And it is not just a one day project, as stated an occupation.  lol

Hi Don,

I was scratching my head over that quote. However, you explained it so well. Now, I get it.

Though we have four seasons in Sedona, they are mild.  When we get snow, it is gone within a few hours.  Snow evaporates!  All of a sudden, it is gone. Believe it or not, we do have to shovel snow and knock it off the branches of our pine and juniper trees otherwise, we will lose branches.

That's a lovely scene, Mark.  We are finally getting rains here in Sacramento, and snow in the Sierra.  It's a welcome sight.

I just returned last week from the coast and heart broke to see Lake Shasta level and all the fire damage.  Yes, I can only imagine how much the rains and snow are appreciated.  m

Mark-Winter is an occupation is a great saying. Although I’m not prone to laziness, I prefer to operate and live in warmer environs. But you’re a lot tougher than me.

More a matter of necessity Wayne, not of toughness...lol.  Thanks for stopping by.  M

Good morning, Mark... I can relate to that... and that's one of the reasons we moved to Charlotte in 1998... to retire from that occupation.

I never heard that quote before but it's quite true. Winter takes a lot of work!

Hi Mark- I never experienced a "real winter" until we moved to Northern VA and I  suppose that was not a hard core winter. But yes.. there was always so much to do in getting ready for the winter and during it, like shoveling snow!!!
