Thankful for the Lady that Shares My Life
We are into the Month of Gratitude and Thanksgiving and it's appropriate that the theme of the challenge this month, hosted by Debe Maxwell is to be Thankful.
I am so thankful for the woman that shares life with me and is always so supportive, my wife Cauna. We have both had marriages prior but we can agree that ours was meant to be and we appreciate each and every day together.
She was supportive when I called her on a Monday afternoon after we had just come back from a Hawaiian vacation, and I told her I had quit my job. She thought I was joking, but I wasn't, and I was in that "Take this job and shove it' mode when I went to work that morning.
Then again years later I did similar when I was told that I had to start traveling to the Pacific Rim for business, and I walked out as I was already spending every third day in a motel.
We just got back from our Anniversary vacation to Aruba, and even though the years pass quickly we continue to enjoy and share life together.
I only wish I had the nerve to ask that attractive young girl that sat next to me in Trig class out to a basketball game. Who knows if we would have had those additional years together even though we are a 35-year couple and still counting
With a career that is 100% commission based, it would be extremely difficult to operate the business with so many big costs. Knowing that there is a fall-back reserve beyond what we may have put aside is a blessing. Also, the understanding for all those late nights, cold dinners and weekends and holidays spent with others and not the family.
